About this surface pattern design

This retro floral stripe pattern was inspired by flowers I grew in my backyard garden. I’m pleased to let you know that this design comes in two different colorways. My first colorway of this design features orange, yellow and peach flowers with light green leaves on a light beige background. My second colorway  includes light purple flowers. The first colorway option is light and happy and would be great for home decor items like throw pillows and sheets. With the addition of the light purple flowers, this print is brighter, pops more and would be perfect for fashion items. Both options would be wonderful for fabric, wallpaper and home decor items. This design is a part of my Superbloom collection in which you can find other coordinating designs.

If you are interested in this print, it is available for purchase in a number of fabric, wallpaper and a variety of home decor items like pillows, sheets and tablecloths all in my Spoonflower shop.

The inspiration behind this retro floral stripe pattern

This 60’s inspired floral pattern is based on the ranunculus, Icelandic poppies, cosmos, zinnias and borage flowers that I grew in my backyard garden. Keeping a flower garden is one of my favorite ways to gather inspiration. I love deciding what to grow, tending to the plants and watching them grow! It definitely makes me feel more connected to my favorite art subject! Its always a joy to work from live inspiration. I drew this print by hand with a micron pen and colored it digitally.

Thanks so much for reading about where you can purchase this design and the inspiration behind it.
