About this surface pattern design
This retro poppy hills pattern was inspired by 1960s and 1970s fashion and the Californian landscape in spring. This joyful surface pattern design only comes in one colorway. The design features an impressionistic interpretation of pink and orange poppy flowers on green rolling hills. This ditsy landscape pattern is perfectly suited for home decor, wallpaper and fashion and is part of my Superbloom pattern collection that includes other coordinating designs.
If you are interested in this print, it is available for purchase in fabric, wallpaper and a variety of home products like pillows, sheets and tablecloths all in my Spoonflower shop.

The inspiration behind this print
This retro poppy hills pattern was inspired by the rolling hills at Lake Elsinore in Southern California during springtime. From afar, the hills look like they are carpeted in varying shades of green and orange as the state flower, the California poppy is in full bloom. I wanted to create a ditsy, impressionistic coordinate design that would pair well with the other more complicated designs in the retro inspired Superbloom collection. This design was created with markers and edited digitally.
Thanks so much for reading about where you can purchase this design and the inspiration behind it.
