About this surface pattern design collection

This dahlia floral pattern collection is titled “Dahlicious” and was inspired by my favorite flowers, dahlias. Dahlicious features vivid, warm colors and comes in two different color ways. The first color way features dark red as a main color with orange highlights. The second color way uses lighter pinks with mustard yellow. Both versions would be perfect for use in fashion, wallpaper and home decor. Each pattern in the collection is available in three different scales to suit your needs, small, medium and large.

The inspiration behind this pattern collection

Dahlicious was inspired by my favorite flower, the dahlia. Over the years, I’ve taken so many photos of dahlia flowers to use as drawing references. I’ve visited countless gardens over the years to see these blooms in real life and even grew them in my own backyard garden so I would have inspiration close at hand. I always look forward to late summer and early fall when these flowers are in full bloom to see the many warm colors sprinkled throughout the gardens that they grow in, they are so delicious! They make such interesting drawing references because they come in so many different varieties, some with many layers of gorgeous petals and some with only a few.
